1. Information we handle
Account information
When an adult creates or uses an account, we handle information such as an email address, display or stage name, account identifier, authentication details, account timestamps, and records showing acceptance of our Terms and this policy. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, that provider supplies the information needed to authenticate you, which may include your name and email depending on your settings.
Scripts and production content
We store content you choose to add, including script titles and text, uploaded PDFs, characters, scenes, role selections, line edits, character photos, song information or audio, and production membership. Page photos used for text recognition are processed through the app to extract text; BravoBuddy stores the resulting script content but does not intentionally upload the source page photos as script content.
Recordings and speech features
If you intentionally record or upload a line or cue clip, we store that audio with information about the relevant line, production, speaker, and selected audience. These clips can be made available to authorized cast members or only to a particular performer, depending on the feature you use.
Optional word checking uses your device’s microphone and speech-recognition service to compare spoken words with a line. BravoBuddy does not upload or save a recording of that practice speech. Your device platform may process speech under Apple’s or Google’s own terms and privacy practices.
Rehearsal and usage information
We handle rehearsal sessions, line progress, role and scene choices, feature settings, invitation activity, and similar activity needed to provide the Service. We also collect limited first-party usage events in our own service database, such as feature names, small counts or settings, platform, and app version. These events use a persistent hashed account identifier and are designed not to include script text, script titles, names, or email addresses.
Invitations, support, and device permissions
If you invite someone, we may process their email address, invite code, assigned role, and invite status. If you contact us, we receive your message and contact details. Camera, photo library, document, microphone, speech-recognition, and notification access is requested only when relevant to a feature. Rehearsal reminders are currently scheduled locally on your device.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; import, parse, store, and display scripts; provide spoken cues and practice tools; save progress and preferences; support collaboration and invitations; deliver local reminders; respond to support requests; prevent abuse; troubleshoot and protect the Service; comply with law; and understand feature use so we can improve the beta.
BravoBuddy does not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising networks or third-party behavioral analytics in the current beta.
4. Storage, security, and international processing
BravoBuddy uses access controls, private storage, row-level permissions, and time-limited file links intended to limit content access to authorized users. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials private and contact us if you believe an account or invitation has been compromised.
Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use legally recognized measures for cross-border processing.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain account and production information while needed to provide the Service, maintain shared productions, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the beta. Retention can vary by information type and operational need.
Production owners can delete a production, which removes its database content and associated files through our deletion process. Cast members can leave productions shared with them. When you delete your account, BravoBuddy permanently blocks sign-in, removes or replaces direct profile and email identifiers, and deletes voice clips you contributed. Shared scripts and certain rehearsal or product-usage records may remain without your name so other cast members do not lose a production they depend on and we can preserve aggregated product insights. Limited information may also remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or records required by law.
6. Your choices and rights
You can update profile information, control optional listening and reminders, manage production access, delete productions you own, leave shared productions, and start account deletion from the app’s Settings screen. You can also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection where applicable. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some rights vary by location.
You can deny or withdraw device permissions in system settings. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.
7. Children and families
Only an adult age 18 or older may create and be responsible for a BravoBuddy account. A child may use BravoBuddy only with the involvement and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who controls the account and invitations. Children should not create independent accounts or submit personal information directly to us.
If you believe a child’s information was provided without appropriate adult involvement, contact us. We will investigate and take appropriate steps, which may include deleting or anonymizing the information.
8. Changes to this policy
Because BravoBuddy is in beta, features and practices may change. We will update this page and its “last updated” date when they do. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice or request consent when required.
9. Contact us
Questions, privacy requests, or concerns can be sent to contact@cleverpixel.com. Please do not include scripts, passwords, voice recordings, or other sensitive content in an unencrypted email.
